Why are you making changes to the existing qualifications?

We believe in providing our centres and learners with the best qualifications and we want to improve our Entry Level to Level 2 traditional construction trade qualifications to enable this.  The benefits will include:

  • New refreshed content – construction has seen rapid changes and increased emphasis on quality and productivity on-site in the past decade

  • Opportunity to provide more guidance, including minimum expectations and scope for stretch and challenge

  • Tutor guides, new live assessments and  will be available for Approved 澳门六合彩内幕资料 Centres

When will the changes be made?

Our New Construction Training Qualifications will be available from 1st August 2020. We will continue to offer the existing qualifications until 31st July 2021, during the transition to the new qualifications.

How will the new qualifications work?

  • Move from Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) to Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) – offers greater flexibility for writing qualifications

  • Clear progression routes (between levels and in-level)

  • Removal of confusing terminology e.g. multiskills, multi-skills, multi-trade, multitrade, multicraft etc

  • Wherever possible the updated qualifications will cover the Apprentice Standard – knowledge, skills and behaviours

  • Where additional apprenticeship content is required, additional units will be designed to bridge the gap
